Richard has over 20 years experience in sales, marketing and advertising. He began his career in idris Lim Associates, then joined Grant Kenyon & Ekhardt. After an overseas attachment with French, Gold, Abbot, Kenyon and Ekhardt in London, Richard returned to Malaysia as Account Director with Grant Kenyon & Ekhardt in 1981.When Grant Advertising was established in 1982 as a separate division of the international network, he was seconded to this agency and in 1983 was made General Manager and a shareholder of the company

In 1987, a worldwide alignment saw Grant Advertising merging with Bozell Jacob Kenyon & Ekhardt and Richard was appointed its General Manager. The founding year of People in Rich in 1988 saw Richard heading the new agency as Managing Director.

Richard is a Member of the Australian Institute of Sales and Marketing. He holds a Diploma in Advertising from Watford College, London.
